Well, I'm gonna try to introduce myself in English even if I make some mistakes. I'm Lucas and I live in the middle-west region of Brazil. I'm 18 years old and I've already studied English for several years but studying, unfortunately, doesn't mean I can handle it all. I've just started watching Gavin's videos on YouTube like one week ago, and since then I'm really addicted(best YouTube channel, definitely). I'm learning useful expressions and despite knowing most of them, I wasn't able to contextualize in my daily life (they were stuck in my passive vocabulary- got it from your video). At the moment, I find myself translating every word from Portuguese to English and it drives me insane when I don't know the exact expression which fits better. I always imagine (or wonder ?) myself being an American and and I try to figure out how would they say. That's been really helpful due to the fact( I dunno if due to the fact sounds normal) I'm forced to look the word up in the dictionary. It is also challenging the amount of words in English with equivalent meanings but which are used in different ways acoording to the context. That's why it's important to get in touch with native speakers. I really appreciate the amazing job you're doing (most people in Brazil gets by on such a small salary and the content posted on your channel is way better than an English School). So keep up the great job and I look forward to watching another video. Sincerely ( I think that's too formal- by the way, tamo junto cara) Lucas.

Great presentation!
We can tell you are learning English by the books (which is not bad) because you are writing "muito certinho", almost in a formal way. In my opinion, learning that way is important because you'll learn grammar correctly, vocabulary, etc. As i use to say, you learn how to write/speak formally. And that's why many people that learn english at school struggle to have a conversation with a native, because they don't talk like that. And by that time, the contact with natives is everything you need to help you with your fluency. That's what happened to me too.
Bem-vindo e que o estudo continue!
