Hey guys! It's my first post here!
I'm having trouble with the pronunciation of "th", especially in thank you/thanks. I watched the "O som do 'TH' em inglês" video on the chanel but I'm still a bit confused.
In the video Gavin says that the sound is "with no voice", but i 've seen a lot of people saying it with others pronunciations in movies/tv shows.
Let's imagine there are 4 possibles sounds to the "th".
The 1st sound would be "t", just like in "top".
The 2nd would be "th" but leaning to the "t" sound.
The 3rd would seem like the 2nd sound but leaned to the "sth" sound.
And the 4th would be a "sth" sound which is a "th" totally without voice.(this "sth" probably doesn't exist, it's just to explain to you guys my doubt)
I don't know about you guys, but i've seen all this sounds in movies, tv shows, songs, etc.
It could be my ear tricking me since i'm not very used to hearing english, but in some cases, it's very clear what the person is saying.
For me, the third is the most common, but, as i said, i've seen the others to.
So i want to know what's the "most correct" of them, if there is one, and whether it's a accent thing or not.
P.S.: I hope i've made myself clear about the doubt, and probably there's some mistakes in my writting, so i'd really really love if you guys let me know about it! (anything on grammatic or coherence).
