Hi, my nickname is Luccy, I'm man (yeah, I know my nicknames is kinda girlish), 19, currently at the college.
I first started learning English about one and a half year ago. I met this girl on the internet, and we started talking about English, and I told her how I wanted to speak english though I was too lazy, and she tried to talk me into this incredible world. At first I didn't want to learn it, I mean, I did want to know english, but I did not want to "waste my time" doing that (yeah, I was such an idiot, thinking that learning english is a waste of time -.-).
So it went on, we kept on talking and she would keep on trying to talk me into learning english and I would keep on making up excuses not to, so two months went by, I had started learning a bit, and we made this bet, where the one who achieves fluency first would win, and the loser would have to do anything the other told to. (She had an amazing english already, so I knew I would lose, but she wasn't fluent).
July 2015, two months passed since we made the bet, we'd been talking a lot and had become real friends, I'd tell her my secrets and she would thell hers to me, we would share memories, talk about our lives, etc. With that, I found out she was very depressed because she'd been bullied for 2 years and nothing that she made would stop the girls from bullying her. I was really sad for her situation and didn't know what to say, I really had no idea that she was going through such terrible moments, all I knew was that she was a really happy girl that I became friends with.
Well, three weeks passed, and in the end of the month, she hadn't sent me any message, which had me worried sick, but then I received this message, where her mother (which I had talked to, and was friends with, too) called me, and told me that her daughter, one of the best friends I ever had, had commited suicide.
I don't even need to say how hard that was to me, let alone to her mother, but I couldn't pay attention at the teacher in school, I punched through my computer with anger. Well, 2015 was a tough year.
Two months passed by, I was still really sad, but I decided I would get over it, that's when I decided to learn english for real, that was what she had always been trying to talk me into, and I even started learning a bit after our bet, but now it'd be for real.
One year has passed, and all I wish is that she was here so we could keep with our bet...
A lot of stuff has happened since then, but what didn't change is my will to keep on learning English, nowadays I'm at university (Faço Letras-Inglês), and all I wanna do, is to change people's life just as she did change mine, even though she is not here any longer, she's still one of the reasons I learned English and decided to become an english teacher!

Lilian, minha eterna amiga.
