Hey, guys! I'd better get cracking on the food for tonight. (to start doing something quickly) - She studied the reports over the weekend so she could hit the ground running when the meeting began. (to immediately work hard and successfully at a new activity) - I didn't have long to talk so I cut to the chase and asked whether he was still married. (to talk about or deal with the important parts of a subject and not waste time with things that are not important) *Exemplos retirados do Cambridge Dictionary. Se souberem de outras expressões, please share! <3
